UPDATE on the house

OK so long story short...the last big rain that we had caused some damage to the house we are buying. The VA wont back our loan unless it is fixed. We had to extend our escrow to December 1st. This week, FINALLY they are starting the work, and will be done by the end of the week. The appraiser and inspector have to come back out to make sure everything is good and then we can move in! So we will most likely be in our house by next weekend, the 11th! AHHHH. It's happening finally. What a great end to a very rocky year.

Give Thanks

I am so thankful that my husband is here with us for this Thanksgiving. I am thankful that my husband is alive to enjoy the delicious meal we just ate. I am thankful for the yummy dinner that my mom prepared for us. I am thankful for my family. I don't have a very large family, so the ones that are in it, I'm thankful for you. I am thankful for my friends. I am SO thankful for our new house, and I am just thankful for the fact that we can even buy a house right now.

Turkey Dinner was delicious!

OK NOW IT IS OFFICIALLY CHRISTMAS!!!

Victoria's Secret

It's been almost four months since I left victoria's secret, and today I went in to visit. It was the 7 for $25 Panty Raid, and you just can't pass up a deal like that. Anyway, I just want to say that while I don't regret leaving my job there (I needed to work out some internal issues), I do miss everyone there. I miss sitting in the back and joking around with everyone while scarfing down a Rubio's bean and cheese burrito. I mostly miss sitting in the office with Edith :( Man we had some good times in that little room that we called an office. Blah. OK done with all the sappiness. To all my VS girls and Brian- I love you guys! Thanks for the memories and have a great holiday season!

Too much to do!!!!!

Ok so my birthday is next tuesday {the 16th}, and I just have WAY too much to do. Everything is about to go through with our house, and we should close on or before December 1st {yay!}. If you've ever bought a house, you know how many packets of paper you have to read and sign. ugh. But the reward is awesome. I have a bunch of pictures to edit. I'm working on a photo project for my family, and this past sunday, I went out with my Aunt to help her set up and take pictures of her flowers at a wedding she did. She is creating a website for her florist business, Kimberly's Flowers in San Clemente {right across the street from Pedro's Tacos}. It was really fun, and I got some great shots of her beautiful work. Anyway, Miley needs an update on one of her shots. Gotta get that done. OH, and I really need to update this little blog here with photos of the house and such. The list goes on... BUT it's not anything that I can't handle.
Well I better get off the computer and go start some of those things.

He's makin' a list...

Since every store and big retailer decides to completely skip over Thanksgiving, so will I. Thus, I redecorated my blog and website for Christmas. I love it! The picture comes from Ms. Martha Stewart's Blog. I don't really like the moss wreath, but I love the simple greens of this front door. Aaron and I will be in our new house the first week of December, and I cannot WAIT to decorate for the Holiday's.

Halloween 2010

This is my brother, Blair. He was dressed up as our dad from the 80's.

Blair and his friend, Taylor. Taylor was a redneck, I think? Or just a racist {he had a confederate flag hat on haha}
These were authentic 'Brad Darr' clothes straight out of the 80's!!! Man, look at those whitewash jeans.

I woke up on Halloween with my creative juices flowing, so I made a trip to Michael's. This cute little mermaid crown is the result. I have a more elegant plan for these mermaid crowns, though. I want to get a plain rhodium head band and attach wire to it, and string crystals on. I saw something similar on etsy, and the result is beautiful. My old Disneyland Ariel crown broke, and the newer Ariel crown sucks. SO I might as well make my own! I may even sell them on etsy. You never know. See a need. Fill a need {where is that quote from?!}. And I think more little girls and women need to wear crowns more often.
Anyway! Back to Halloween...
Riley, Ella and Shane shane. These three were kind a a nightmare to get together because they are CRAZY. But I managed to get one good shot.

Shane was a Spartan, and my mom wore her usual witchy costume.
This is my mom's favorite halloween decoration~ Her little witch.

Shane and the neighbor, Langston.
Langston's brother, Jackson. I'm not sure what he was, but it was creepy and I had to have a picture.
oooooOOOOOOOoooooo{ghost noise} scaarrrrrrrryyyyyyyyy graveyard.

Shane and I made this pumpkin. It's Jack Skellington! I think it's awesome.
Shane was the official pumpkin carver this year. He did all of these on his own without any help.  I don't even think I got a picture of all of them.
Shane, Riley and Ella did this one. It's the Cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland.
How good is this?! Another one of Shane's creations.
Aaron decided to be himself in high school.
He is holding up his senior year school ID {yes, he keeps it in his wallet}. As you can see, he had a fro in HS. He was very proud of it.
This was actually the neighbors wig. And there was a scarf that we didn't know was detachable until after Aaron was done handing out candy haha!

Shane's candy lot
My little moooo cow, Miley wanted the candy.

Halloween was really fun this year. Especially better for Aaron and I when compared to last year {Aaron had just gotten out of the hospital and such}. Good times. Happy Halloween!!! I already know what I want to be next year. It's a couples costume for Aaron and I.
