September 25

One year ago today, I was going through the worst day of my entire life. That was the day Aaron was shot in Afghanistan. A whole year has gone by and so much has happened. Aaron and I did a lot of growing up since then, and I believe we are better people for it. I just can't believe we have come so far.

I love my husband more than anything and I am so proud of him for being the man that he has become. 

 Aaron is getting the Purple Heart pinned on by the Commandant of the United States Marine Corps in this picture. He was so excited.

 The Commandant and his wife were really nice people. I was surprised.

 The thing he is holding isn't his Purple Heart. Some Navy General had come in earlier that day and given Aaron that little pendant. I just thought it was a cute picture of us :)

1. When is your “engagement” anniversary:
pretty much June 10th 2007. It's the first day we met.

2. When is your “marriage” anniversary:
September 2, 2008

3. How long have you known your spouse:
Just over 3 years


4. How long did you date/court before you were engaged:
Officially? A year.  

5. Where did you meet your spouse for the first time?
San Clemente, CA 

6. What is your spouse’s full name:
Aaron E.

7. Do you have any children:
not yet!


8. How many – boys/girls:
Well I want 2 girls and 2 boys....I think.


9. Do you have any house pets:
Tiger, our beloved kitty kat. And then there's Miley, our little tard dog. 


10. Do you own a house or rent:
rent. But we are almost done with that! In the process of owning here in a couple months!


11. Do you live in the country or town/city:

12. What is one of your favorite activities together:
Going to the movies, disneyland, and we LOVE going out to eat. 
Aaron likes "the restaurant experience", as he likes to say.  

13. Do you have a favorite vacation spot:
I think right now, our favorite is San Diego

The first day we met

capo beach calvary. But we're going to need to figure out a new church since 
we are moving an hour away :(

for now, stay at home

Our late honeymoon was on the island of Jamaica mon at the beautiful Sandals Whitehouse mon. yeeeaahhh mon.


20. What was the funniest gift you gave when dating?
oh jeez I don't know. I sent him plenty of funny things while he was overseas.  

21. How long have you been together?
Just over three years...as long as we've known each other.  



22. How long did you know each other before you started dating?
mmm bout an hour.


23. Who asked who out?
hmm I don't really remember. We just sort of fell in sync with each other. And the rest is history.


24. How old are each of you?
I'm 22(23 in november) and the old man is 24


25. Where do each of you go to school?
HA HA....yeah not the school type, and aaron is in the marine corps. BUT actually, Aaron is going to be an instructor for the new kids coming in at the 'School of Infantry'


26. Which situation is the hardest on you as a couple?
Aaron being hurt one year ago this saturday, the 25th of september. That has been by far the hardest thing in our lives. 


27. Did you go to the same school?
lol....no 

28. Are you from the same home town?
he wishes! but no. 

29. Who is smarter?
We both have our strengths. But I think Aaron is smarter. 

30. Who is more sensitive?
The award for definitely most sensitive is!!!......Lauren! BY FAR. 

31. Where do you eat out most as a couple?
Oh it depends on what we're in the mood for. Fred's, Lucille's, Macaroni Grill, Wind N sea, Olive Garden, Cheesecake Factory, BJ's Pizza.....and many more. we love eating out. 


32. Where is the farthest you two have traveled together as a couple?
In the car- D.C. to Indiana
By plane-Orange county to Jamaica mon 

33. Who has the craziest exes?
well we don't get bothered by anyone, but I've heard that Aaron's ex is a crazy biotch.


34. Who has the worse temper?
for sure me, but when aaron's at work, I guess him. He let's all his anger out at work and then he's all sweet when he comes home :)

We share

depends on the situation. But both of us are pretty equal, I would say.

39. Who hogs the bed?
well, ok see...we have a king size bed and most of the time I like to be closer to Aaron, so I scoot all the way over to his side. Then in the morning I have about a good two, two and a half feet between me and my end of the bed, and then aaron and I are all smashed together on his side of the bed. haha So does that count as me hogging the bed?

42. Who had more boyfriends/girlfriends?
aaron I guess

43. Do you get flowers often?
birthdays, our dating anniversary and our wedding anniversary. And I've seen it happen a couple times that were just for fun :)

44. How do you spend the holidays?
well the original plan was to switch off each holiday. One year do his family, the next, mine. But it seems that since we are buying a house pretty soon, we most likely wont have the money to go out there this christmas.

AARON, the garbage disposal. This would be his infomercial...
"Hey kids!!! Are your tummy's too full to finish ALL of that food mommy and daddy are making you eat?! No worries! Pick up your Aaron Disposal today! He will finish ALL of your food for you! Never go to bed without dessert again!"

Definitely Aaron. I don't get all this software crap.

Oh my, just remember to be good to each other. 

Halloween time is near...

I am very excited for Halloween. 

Can you tell? 

Halloween comes in a close second to Christmas on the list of my favorite holidays. 

AHHHH

I don't have a costume yet.

You might think that was weird because it's still only mid september.

But, I usually plan out my costume for the next year the day AFTER the last Halloween. 

SO as you can see, I am 11 months behind.

Playdog

Miley told me she wanted to be in Playdog, and I supported her decision. The pictures turned out very tasteful and I think she looks great. We first met with Hugh Woofner. He was very hospitable and made sure that Miley wasn't doing anything she was not comfortable with. Miley opted to keep her collar on during the shoot because she wanted to leave "something to the imagination". 

The Haus of Edwards

We got the house!

It's ours if we want it...we're just waiting for our loan stuff to go through, and then we get it! I don't have any pictures for you right now, but it's a "Mediterranean style home with an award winning floor plan". It has 4 bedrooms and 3 full bath. A living room and a family room. A dining room and a GREAT kitchen with a window over the sink (*blush* that's what I always wanted). Has a BIG backyard with lots of play room for the dog and eventual kids. Lots of big flowing trees. Landscape needs a little lovin, but it's all beautiful and green. There is the most adorable little patio off of one of the guest bedrooms on the front side of the house. That room is going to be my room. It has great windows and lots of light. I think I might get into painting in there among other crafty things like sewing!

The Haus of Edwards (I say "haus" because Aaron is half german, and I claim a quarter german haha) just felt like home as soon as we walked into it. It has a nice flow to it. Very homey.

I will keep everyone updated as we learn more. Hopefully the whole process of everything wont be too long.
